Cali Shore, Asian Cast?
Would you believe that after the success of the Italian-American Jersey Shore cast on the East coast, ”beating the beat” that now somebody wants top rep the West with the Asian-American set? Wait until you hear who is doing the show! None other thanone of the finest boys on the planet, Tyrese Gibson according to Pop Eater ! Here is the ad that The New York Post, reposted:
“Looking for interesting, attractive, colorful Asian-Americans to cast in a reality show similar to ‘Jersey Shore,’ ‘Real World,’ ‘The Hills,’ etc. . .” the notice reads.
“We need attractive Asian-Americans with lively, strong and unique personalities between the ages of 18 to 30 with equally interesting life stories and perspectives to share, especially individuals who know about and/or experienced the Koreatown life.”
Casting isn’t limited strictly to Asian-Americans either.
“If you are not Asian but are obsessed with Asian culture or people in some way, email us and please explain,” it said.
Read more: Apparently his production company is the one that listed the posting looking for eager beavers in the Los Angeles area? Are you Asian? Do you think this would perpetuate some sort of stereotype as the current Jersey Shore cast is being pegged? Would you watch? I know I would!
