An Asian American Version of 'Jersey Shore'?

After the huge success of MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” the rumor mill says that there could be an Asian knock-off of the show in the works. According to a Los Angeles Craiglist posting, a production company is “looking for interesting, attractive, colorful Asian Americans to cast in a reality show similar to JERSEY SHORE, REAL WORLD, THE HILLS, etc. We need attractive Asian Americans with lively, strong, and unique personalities between the ages of 18 to 30 with equally interesting life stories and perspectives to share, especially individuals who know about and/or experienced the Koreatown life.”

As if this doesn’t get any better, reportedly Tyrese Gibson is co-producing the series—how random. We’re not sure if this might simply be the worst thing ever (we cringe just thinking of all the Asian stereotypes the show may portray)—or if it’ll be so bad, it’s good (much like the original “Jersey Shore.”) For now, we can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this.
